As we close out another year, I want to take a moment to reflect on our journey and share our vision for the future of Idle Nation, the game that has been at the heart of our company’s mission.
This marks the second year of developing Idle Nation, and it has been a period of growth, learning, and relentless commitment to improvement. Throughout the year, we have actively gathered feedback from our players, which has guided us in addressing numerous bugs and identifying key areas for improvement. This dedication to listening and responding to our community has been instrumental in shaping the game’s future.
A major milestone this year has been the redesign of approximately 70% of Idle Nation’s core mechanics and systems. This decision was not made lightly. We recognized that to create a game that is not only enjoyable but also marketable, significant changes were necessary. While this meant delaying updates, we firmly believe that releasing an unpolished product serves neither our players nor our long-term goals. The culmination of these efforts will be reflected in Version 1.5, set to launch at the end of January.
Our strategy remains focused and intentional: to make Idle Nation a game players truly love. Rather than diversifying into multiple projects, we are dedicating all our resources and creativity to perfecting this one game. This focus ensures that we can deliver a high-quality experience and build a strong foundation for future growth.
Currently, nearly 95% of our player base is domestic, with 50% falling between the ages of 24 and 35. These insights have guided our decision to prioritize the American market and the English locale before exploring international expansions or additional localizations. By honing our efforts on this core demographic, we aim to deepen engagement and solidify our position within this key market segment.
Looking ahead to 2025, our primary goal is to break even on the design, development, and marketing costs for Idle Nation. With the improvements and strategies we have implemented, we are optimistic about the potential to achieve profitability while continuing to deliver value to our players and stakeholders.
Thank you for your continued support and belief in our vision. We are excited about the future of Idle Nation and look forward to sharing this journey with you.
Warm regards,
Frank Ziheng Zhang,
Founder & CEO.
